Fox News Ignores White House Afghanistan Meeting To Obsess Over Czars

Lawmakers met at the White House to have a discussion on the war in Afghanistan. But Fox News' Neil Cavuto chose to spend his time fearmongering about the White House's Special Master for Compensation.

Today, lawmakers met at the White House to have a wide ranging discussion on the War in Afghanistan -- you know, the matter that so many of the president's critics say cannot wait, because we should be SURGING right this very second, and forever. The meeting was an important enough event for the cable news to cover, and, as soon as it was over, some cable news did, carrying the remarks and reactions from Representative John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.), among others. Here, for example, is CNN, covering it:

And here's MSNBC:

Fox News' Neil Cavuto, by contrast, chose to spend his time fearmongering about Kenneth Feinberg, the White House's Special Master for Compensation, tasked with overseeing and enforcing the executive pay guidelines for companies who have received federal bailout money.

You have to love the way the Cavuto chyron POSES THE TRENCHANT QUESTION: "Pay Czar Targeting Executive's Pay; Are You Next?" The correct answer to the question is to ask another: "Well, are you a bank executive who has received billions of dollars in bailout money from the federal government? No? Then, no, no you are not next, dumbass."
