Kelly: "Welcome to America Live everyone. I'm Megyn Kelly. The president, following in the footsteps -- he says -- of Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan, said he enjoys a breath of fresh air and a walk in the morning. Coming to discuss this via a live split-screen feed from his desk across the room is Fox News Digital Politics Editor Chris Stirewalt."

Stirewalt: "Thank you, Megyn. While Reagan was, as President Obama said, known to breathe air now and again, our 40th president went back and forth on the issue, only breathing in half the time."

Kelly: "It should be noted that Reagan took a decisive stance against the platform in mid-2004."

Stirewalt: "That's absolutely right, Megyn. All of the greatest Republican figures -- Reagan, Taft, Reagan, Reagan --"

Kelly: "Reagan..."

Stirewalt: "Exactly. Nearly all of them have, since their presidencies in some cases, walked away from this progressive tenet in a very decided fashion."

Kelly: "Putting aside whether people understand the biology about respiration, about the needs of aerobic organisms, about passive diffusion of gases between the alveolar gas and the blood in lung capillaries and bah bah bah, I think what Americans might understand is that breathing is akin to a socialist nationalism."

Stirewalt: "Exactly."

Kelly: "And why would President Obama want to do anything that would associate himself with that word 'socialist' that I just said just now?"

Stirewalt: "I think the biggest thing he's trying to do is shame the Republican party with associating some of our great Republican heroes like Taft, Eisenhower, Reagan, Reagan and Reagan by saying even they were socialists."

Kelly: "Because they used to breathe and breathing, as previously stated, is socialist."

Stirewalt: "Yes. Obviously, this is not a good thing for the president to line up with this sort of progressivism and this sort of liberalism and this sort of socialism that has become so much maligned and so much disliked in the modern American discourse. And it is hated. I recently watched a piece on America Live where the host asked the simple question 'Why would President Obama want to do anything that would associate himself with that word 'socialist' that (the host) just said just now?'"

Kelly: "And I recently heard the biggest thing he's trying to do is shame the Republican party with associating some of our great Republican heroes like Taft, Eisenhower, Reagan, Reagan and Reagan by saying even they were socialists."

Stirewalt: "Because they used to breathe."

Kelly: "Which is socialist."

Stirewalt: "Because it's breathing."

Kelly: "Which is socialist. Thank you for joining us from your desk across the room. Coming up next, why Obama and Hitler both wore shoes."
