Fox News' Peter Doocy Caught In Sand Trap During Sandy Reporting (VIDEO)

WATCH: Fox News Reporter Gets Trapped In Sand Covering Sandy

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy found himself endangered by a far more mundane threat than wind and floods while reporting on Hurricane Sandy on Monday.

Doocy — son of "Fox and Friends" host Steve Doocy, was filming a stand-up live from Delaware, which is set to be very hard hit by Sandy. Host Martha MacCallum asked him about the storm surge expected in the area.

"I'm not a meteorologist, Martha," he said, starting to walk along a pathway filled with sand. As he was talking, he got his foot caught in a sandy hole.

"It looks like the sandy walkway out to the beach has actually got my foot stuck!" he said.

"Oh, Peter, take it easy out there," MacCallum said.

"Not a pretty picture here in Delaware, but I'm OK," Doocy concluded.
