France Stadium Attack Survivor Says Phone Saved His Life

"This was the phone that took the hit -- that's what saved me."

A reported survivor of one of several devastating attacks that rocked Paris on Friday night says that his phone saved his life.

"This was the phone that took the hit -- that's what saved me," the man told iTele news channel. "Otherwise my head would have been shattered."

iTele identified the witness as Sylvestre, who says he was in Paris' main stadium when two suicide bombings and an explosion hit the field. At least three people were killed and several more were injured.

In the video, Sylvestre says his abdomen and foot were also hit, and showed some of the damage to iTele.

The attack on Stade de France occurred during a soccer match between France and Germany. It was one of at least six attacks that took place, the deadliest of which was a shooting in the Bataclan theater.
