Fred Armisen Not Leaving 'SNL' Anytime Soon, Comedian Suggests

In a recent interview with ET Online, Fred Armisen strongly hinted that he has no plans to leave "Saturday Night Live" anytime soon.

"I thrive most when I have to juggle things," Armisen said in response to a question of how long he plans to stay on the show.

"The more I keep myself occupied and jump from thing to thing, the more I think it enriches both. I'm having such a good time on 'SNL,' it's still so much fun," he said.

Armisen is the first "SNL" performer to star on a different show while currently in the cast of the NBC sketch show. In his case, IFC's hit "Portlandia" takes up his summers when "SNL" is not in season.

As one of the most senior cast members, rumors that Armisen would leave after this season are inevitable. Last season saw the departures of Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Abby Elliott, and Jason Sudeikis is expected to leave after this season. Armisen is currently in his 10th season on the sketch show, where he is perhaps most famous for portraying President Obama up until this year.

Juggling projects may be Armisen's forte, but he admits that his comedy juggling does not extend to his personal life. He recently admitted being a "terrible husband" to ex-wife Elisabeth Moss.
