The city of London, during the holidays, is aglow with festive lights and decorations from Heathrow to Dartford. Few cities that I've been to in the winter put on quite as wonderful a display as does London. (Though I am biased towards my home city of New York and Bryant Park around Christmas.)

Still, in London I quite enjoyed the elaborate holiday windows at Harrods, the ornament displays at Covent Garden and the Regent Street lights that put me in the most joyful and happy of moods.

I hope that in 2012, I'll be able to visit the Christmas markets of Europe in the winter. I hear countries like Germany, Austria and Belgium are like wonderlands of festivity bursting at the seams with merriment.
