Fried rice has become a staple for ordering in. It has somehow become a classic even though very few people attempt to make it at home.

But Hung Huynh -- winner of Top Chef Season 3 and Executive Chef at The General -- has a recipe that is so easy and delicious, it will become a different kind of staple. Watch the video above for all of his advice or follow the recipe below.

Hung's Fried Rice
By The General's Executive Chef Hung Huynh

Serves 2

3 cups cooked rice
4 strips bacon (cut into small pieces)
2 pc Chinese sausage (cut into thin disks)
6 pc of shrimp (cut in small pieces)
1/4 cup ham (small diced)
1/4 cup peas
1/4 cup onion (small diced)
1/4 cup carrots (small diced)
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
3 stalks scallion (sliced)
3 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp fish sauce
2 eggs

In a large wok or non-stick pan, add oil until slightly smoking and hot. Add ham, sausage, bacon, shrimp and sauté for 1 minute. Add in carrots, garlic, onion, peas and cook for another minute. Add rice and cook for 5 min, then add scallion and the rest of seasoning and cook for another 5 min.

To cook the fried egg, add oil to a pan and cook sunny side up. Place on top of rice.
