The British Art Coming! The British Art Coming! Frieze New York, one of the most exciting events in the New York art world this year, took place earlier this month, May 4 - 7. Presented there were some of the most dynamic galleries from around the world, bringing an international focus to the New York contemporary art scene. In addition to showcasing works by over 1,000 of the world's leading artists, also included were Frieze Projects, the fair's program of artists' commissions, and Frieze Talks, a program of debates, panel discussions and keynote lectures. And it all took place in a structure designed by New York-based SO-IL Architects in Randall's Island Park, overlooking the East River.

What were the best-dressed attendees wearing? We went shopping at NET-A-PORTER.com to put together a dedicated account of just a few inspired ensembles to get your creativity flowing.

A Day at Frieze
The art world was abuzz with excitement created by 180 of the world's leading contemporary galleries, specially curated programs of projects, talks and sounds. To exhibit your discerning style and intelligence, we have put together an outfit that is both chic and wearable for a day on your feet, beginning with this comfy Erdem knit, layered with a seasonal light leather jacket. For collecting catalogs and gallery goodies, we chose the must-have bag of the season -- the YSL Cabas Tote. Don't let the height of the DVF wedges fool you: They are surprisingly well-cushioned for a day on your feet.

Strolling the Sculpture Garden
The Sculpture Park at Frieze New York is located beside the impressive waterfront of the East River, adjacent to the fair. For more information and a full list of works that were on display, go to Frieze Sculpture Park. For a day of perusing the outdoor installations, what to wear is a breeze in this fabulous Peter Pilotto Silk Blouse. Wear it all summer long over white jeans and under this wild sequined fedora. Turn up the velocity even further by strapping on Gucci's comfy cork wedges and grabbing a Marc Jacobs faux python bag.

Art in Fashion
Frieze New York's Chelsea Gallery Night sponsored by NET-A-PORTER, took place on Sunday evening, May 6. Institutions and galleries located in lower Manhattan remained open late, with many holding special gatherings for a variety of events. What did we wear? We love the painterly quality of these inspired works by Erdem, Peter Pilotto and Mary Katrantzou. The artistic blends of silk and stretch insure a fabulously flattering fit in these wearable works of art.

The Big Dealers Day to Night
What would Alison Jacques or Marianne Boesky wear? Well, in the world of art, darling, black is de rigueur. We chose a simply stunning Ralph Lauren sheath and delved into their vast online collection to put together looks that will take you from morning meetings with favored collectors and donors, to lunch at Frankies Spuntino, Sant Ambroeus or The Fat Radish, to a whirlwind of drinks and evening events, looking fabulously fresh and in-the-know all day long.

The Arty Party Goes on and on
If you are lucky enough to be invited to the Standard Hotel's Boom, Boom Room for late night revelry and recreation, you will want to dress to the nines. Nothing is too glam for this exclusive nightclub which has become "the standard" of exhilarating glamor. Pick one or all of these festively fabulous frocks to rock the downtown scene and be prepared to dance the night away.
