From Habits to Happiness

"Work is joy" is my personal motto. I genuinely believe that when you start listening to your heart and making conscious choices, you can experience real joy: in your job, in your relationships, in your whole life.

Habits are vital because they can actually create happiness.

What are you doing in your life right now that chafes your spirit? Maybe it's a sugar addiction you've been trying to break for the past 6 months, but each time you try and fail you're more and more bothered by it. Maybe it's the way you talk to yourself when no one's around--complaining or belittling yourself with negative thoughts. Perhaps it's the way you leave your clothing crumpled up in piles on the floor, and every time you enter your room looking at it stresses you out. It's clear from these examples that your habits can lead to unhappiness, right? So why couldn't you use the power of habits for good?

It turns out you can. I'm living proof. I do it 7 days a week. All it takes is noticing them and making small changes as you go.

Can we control what happens to us? Unfortunately, not always. But we do have more control than we think we do. As entrepreneurs, sometimes we forget that. We think things are the way they are and there's nothing that can be done to fix it. But that's simply not true.

One of the easiest ways to add more happiness to our lives is to start paying attention to our own priorities. Pay attention to the things that make your heart sing, and make regular habits out of them. Give just one of them 15 minutes a day, and you'll experience a major boost in fulfillment.
