Apparently there is gold at the end of the rainbow...cash for your gold, top dollars paid... Somebody gave me a free room at The Hilton and all I got was this, my favorite photo from my entire trip.

For this trip, I tried a new camera out: the Canon 1DX. Although I'm generally a fan of less-is-more, and I'm certainly not a gear-head, this is far and away the loveliest, most serious digital camera I've ever worked with. Indeed, its led to my re-discovery of still photography, which, although I more often shoot video, is my first love... a first love I never left, and am now returning to in a way I never thought would be possible. Would that it were, in life.

During a recent trip to Italy (photos soon) I rented a 5D Mark III which is nice enough, but there's something about the 1DX that makes it like no camera I've ever used before. Of course, these shots are what you would expect out-of-the-box and straight to the show...here's to conquering the learning curve...in life and in love.

Cold Brood.
Besties.
Shrunken hippie-head bank: priceless.
What colors do you dream in??

Hula-hoop...
Stuck..
In dreads...

"You know, it's so quiet out here; like, we could start our own country..."
There.
Goes.
The neighborhood...
