'Furious 8' Gets A Release Date

The eighth chapter in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise just got a release date: April 14, 2017. Universal released the news during a CinemaCon presentation and then the film series posted the date on Facebook:

The new chapter in the Fast & Furious saga will be released on Friday, April 14, 2017.

"We're going to make the best movie you've ever seen," Vin Diesel said during the studio's panel.

The announcement is no surprise considering "Furious 7" has already made more than $1.1 billion worldwide. It has broken box office records and became the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
