'Futurama' Renewed By Comedy Central For Two More Years

"Futurama," the animated cult classic that was brought back from the dead by Comedy Central, has been renewed for two more years, Entertainment Weekly's James Hibberd reports.

The networks had reportedly ordered two more 13-episode seasons, which will follow the season currently slated to air in June. This would keep "Futurama" on the air until at least 2013.

The show originally ran on Fox from 1999 until its cancellation in 2003, but Comedy Central brought it back to the air in 2008, after a string of straight-to-DVD films was released in 2007.
