Halle Berry has had a rough week after her ex Gabriel Aubry and her fiance, Olivier Martinez, had a blowout brawl on Thanksgiving morning, leaving both of them in the hospital.
Aubry, who is the father of her 4-year-old daughter, Nahla, was arrested and is now facing battery and misdemeanor charges after he reportedly started the fight that left him with horrible head contusions and bruises, as well as a broken rib.
But let's take a step back here -- where is all this anger stemming from?
Berry and Aubry worked out a custody agreement last year, but the deal was tested when Berry asked a judge for permission to move to Paris, France, with Nahla to be with Martinez. This didn't sit well with Aubry, who recently won the battle after Berry's request was denied in a Los Angeles court.
Days after this decision was reached, Aubry and Martinez got into a heated exchange, obviously upset with how things ended up. Martinez, who is a citizen of France, wanted Berry and Nahla to move with him, while Aubry was pleased with the judge's verdict.
Now, Aubry is claiming Martinez threatened to kill him if he didn't let Nahla move to Europe.
The day before Thanksgiving, Martinez allegedly told Aubry he wanted to "beat the s--t" out of him. "You're lucky we're in school right now," Aubry quoted Martinez as saying. "We're going to take Nahla right now and you're not going to follow us."
Hours later, the battle came to a head as the men fought at Berry's home during a drop-off.
She has since obtained a restraining order against Aubry, requiring him to stay 100 yards away from her until Dec. 3. Berry is currently trying to make the restraining order more permanent.
If convicted, Aubry faces up to six months in jail. A hearing is slated for Dec. 13.
