'Game Change' Among Golden Globe 2013 Nominees For Best Miniseries Or TV Movie

What's The Best Miniseries Of The Year?

"Game Change" could win big at the Golden Globes this year. The HBO miniseries about the 2008 election is up for multiple 2013 Golden Globe awards, including Best Miniseries or TV Movie. "Game Change" will go up against "Hatfields & McCoys," "The Girl," "The Hour" and "Political."

Though it's nominated for Best Drama this year, "Downton Abbey" won for Best Miniseries or TV Movie at the 2012 Golden Globes. "How fabulous this is," the show's executive producer Julian Fellows said when accepting the award. "I thank the audience because it's the audience that makes a success."

If the 2013 Golden Globes do prove fruitful for "Game Change," it won't be the first time. At the 2012 Emmys in September, the miniseries and star Julianne Moore both took home gold. "I feel so validated because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down," said, Moore, who played Palin in the HBO movie, while accepting her Emmy.

The recently announced "Game Change" sequel -- currently being penned by the authors of the original book that was translated for HBO -- will follow the 2012 presidential campaign. Time will tell if "Double Down: Game Change 2012" will head to TV screens and a Golden Globe ceremony in the future.
