Still reeling from the tragic twist on Sunday's "Game of Thrones"?

Well, this isn't the apology you were looking for. But showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss do want to make amends for "all the idiots who from now on will be shouting 'Hodor' every time you go through a door." Much appreciated, gentlemen.

In a video statement released to "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Tuesday night, the Emmy-winning writers and producers explain how they should have seen this phenomenon coming, while of course surrounded by piles of HBO cash.

But hey, there's a solution to your woes.

"We can kill people in real life," Benioff jokes.

"We can even kill you," Weiss shoots back, before Benioff crumples to the floor to reveal a knife in his back.
