'Game Of Thrones' Ratings: HBO Scores 5.4 Million Viewers For Season 3 Finale

The Most Popular HBO Show Since 'The Sopranos'

The "Game Of Thrones" Season 3 finale ratings are in, and they're spectacular.

The "Game Of Thrones" season finale brought in an average of 5.4 million viewers, a 28 percent increase from the Season 2 finale, which attracted 4.2 million viewers.

The finale was the second-most watched "Game Of Thrones" episode of the season, coming in 100,00 viewers behind the show's May 5 episode.

The strong finale numbers bring the "Thrones" season average -- including encore presentations, DVR, on-demand and streaming views on HBO Go -- to 13.2 million total viewers per episode. That moves "Thrones" past "True Blood" as HBO's most-watched show since the 2004 season of "The Sopranos," which did not have the benefit of online streams.
