Is Jon Snow Dead Or Alive In First 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Teaser?

“They have no idea what’s going to happen.”

For someone who's supposed to be dead, Jon Snow sure seems to be an important part of the promotion for the new season of "Game of Thrones." After his bloody mug appeared on the official poster for Season 6, we thought HBO couldn't twist the knife in any deeper.

We were wrong. The first video teaser released on Thursday plays like a "Game of Thrones" death master mix, featuring some of the most brutal scenes in the history of the series, like the Red Wedding, Arya's blinding, Jamie's amputation, Ned Stark's beheading and Jon Snow's "death."

The 40-second teaser is narrated by two notable voices -- Three-eyed Raven, now played by esteemed actor Max von Sydow, and Bran Stark, who hasn't appeared on the fantasy drama since Season 4.

The video ends with Bran all warged out, delivering this ominous warning: "They have no idea what’s going to happen.”

Could he be referring to Snow's presumed resurrection or to "Game of Thrones" fans themselves, who, for the first time since the series began, will have no clue what happens next? The show has caught up with the George R.R. Martin's books, so Season 6 will be uncharted storytelling territory.

We'll let you decide.
