Postmodern Jukebox Turns 'Gangsta's Paradise' Into A Jazzy, 1920s Number

Listen To 'Gangsta's Paradise' As You've Never Heard It Before

YouTube’s Postmodern Jukebox is back this week with a new toe-tapping cover. This time, it’s a 1920s-style rendition of the 1995 hit “Gangsta’s Paradise.”

The song, by rapper Coolio, appeared on the soundtrack of the Michelle Pfeiffer film “Dangerous Minds.” It’s previously been covered by artists like British singer James Morrison and was even parodied by Weird Al Yankovic. But we’re pretty sure you’ve never heard it quite like this.

Postmodern Jukebox’s latest cover has been viewed more than 400,000 times to date. Watch it above.
