Garry Kasparov, the former world chess champion who grew up in the Soviet Union, said Donald Trump sounds very familiar, especially after the GOP candidate vowed during Sunday night’s debate to imprison rival Hillary Clinton if he’s elected president.
Kasparov, who is chairman of the Human Rights Foundation, wrote on Twitter:

Last year, Kasparov wrote a book called “Winter Is Coming: Why Vladimir Putin And The Enemies Of The Free World Must be Stopped.” A critic of both Trump and Putin, Kasparov fled Russia in 2013 over fears of persecution for his political activism.
