Gay Couple Who Got Married During Macklemore And Madonna's 'Same Love' Performance Speaks Out

WATCH: Gay Newlyweds Gush About Grammys Wedding Experience

Deondray and Quincy Gossfield, a gay couple who tied the knot during Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's "Same Love" performance featuring Mary Lambert and Madonna at the Grammy Awards last night, gushed about the experience in a new interview with HuffPost Live.

"It was the worst secret ever, because you want to share it with your friends and family," Quincy noted. "So we had to devise ways to get people to watch the Grammys without telling them that we were getting married. We were not allowed to tell."

As for tying the knot in front of the likes of the Material Girl, Paul McCartney and other legendary stars, he added, "It was appropriate for the Grammys because music is something that's universal. No matter where you're from, we're all moved by music. For [same-sex marriage] to be supported and encouraged by musicians ... was extremely special."
