Though many people, researchers and gay parents themselves, have written articles, blogs, or reports about gay parenting and the myths associated with it, there are still people who believe that gay parents are not as good as heterosexual parents, making this video still significant and useful today.

HowStuffWorks debunks the five biggest gay parenting myths of which include, “gay parents will raise gay kids” and “kids need parents of both genders.” They provide pictures and citations and explanations of convoluted research in clear and simple ways.

With the recent denial of gay adoption in Italy and the lack of marriage equality and adoption equality for gay couples in Australia, videos like this can be very useful in changing the minds and hearts of people all over the world. (We are a more visual society now, too!)
