Happy 70th birthday, George Harrison!

The lead guitarist of the Beatles died of lung cancer in 2001, but his legacy as a member of music's most popular band lives on. A longtime advocate for spiritual mysticism and a prominent member of the Hare Krishna movement, Harrison wrote a handful of popular Beatles tracks, including "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something." He also ran a successful solo career, with his 1970 album "All Things Must Pass" serving as a steadfast No. 1 hit. Throughout his fame, Harrison was a quote magnet, often waxing poetic on the meaning of life and even once comparing the Beatles' fame to a male version of the Spice Girls.

In remembrance of the legendary rocker, here are some of our favorite George Harrison quotes.
