George Takei On Tennessee's 'Don't Say Gay' Bill And Other Anti-LGBT Legislation (VIDEO)

WATCH: George Takei Names Tennessee's Anti-Gay Lawmakers As 'Friends Of Dorothy'

Just days after vowing to talk same-sex marriage with Donald Trump, "Star Trek" actor George Takei is taking on Tennessee lawmakers who are spearheading what has been described as an "anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender crusade."

Takei, who just got the axe on "Celebrity Apprentice," provides a suitably gay analogy in describing the trio of candidates, which includes Republican State Senator Stacey Campfield, calling them "friends of Dorothy" in reference to the "Wizard of Oz" characters in this new tongue-in-cheek clip.

"It doesn't take a wizard to see that they're missing brains, heart and courage," the longtime gay rights advocate observes. "Mr. Campfield, your ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill is truly a straw man. So if we can’t say gay, we’ll just say Takei. So here’s an ‘It’s OK To Be Takei’ shirt to wear to help you grow a brain.”
