I've been on the hunt for something to sip on, sans alcohol, since The New York Times named mocktails one of this season's hottest dining trends (and since a bartender whipped the most delicious virgin mojito for me during vacation a couple weeks back).Local haunts like Saxon & Parole and DLO Infusion Bar have rolled out mocktail menus for those in NYC, but at home, they're just as easy to create.Here are some I spotted among Polar Seltzer's Fashion-Week-inspired lineup of drinks (which also includes real-deal cocktails with adorable names like The Publicist, The Market Editor and The Tailor). Their mocktails, called The Buyers, are straight and to the point -- just bubbles, fruit and a good sense of style.

This last week, I finally got around to checking out Derek Cianfrance's "The Place Beyond The Pines" and it was everything everyone said it was. Definitely an Oscar contender. Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper's performances are both stellar, but so is that of Emory Cohen. Cohen, who plays "AJ", the troubled son of Cooper's character, almost steals the show. From all the unexpected twists, to all of the great performances, and the super-tense plot, "The Place Beyond the Pines" is definitely something to get into this week.

I'm admittedly late on this bandwagon, but after seeing a couple of commercials in cabs, I watched one episode of "Ray Donovan" and I was automatically obsessed. Liev Schrieber is an amazing actor (not to mention great eye candy) and his chemistry with John Voight is electric. The show is smart, funny and mysterious. Plus, if you have Showtime Anytime (or a friend who doesn't mind you mooching off his/hers), you can watch it whenever you want. This may be the show that fills the void in my heart once "Mad Men" ends.
