Ghost Pepper Challenge: Man Eats Whole Bhut Jolokia Pepper, Suffers (VIDEO)

WATCH: Man Wallows In Pain After Eating Ghost Pepper

For whatever reason, people seem to love doing silly things and uploading these misadventures to YouTube. Take the cinnamon challenge for example, in which people try to swallow a spoonful of cinnamon and end up being unable to breath. This phenomenon has sent people to the hospital, some of them with collapsed lungs.

Then there are the people that try extremely hot peppers, thinking that it won't affect them. Previously, we brought you a video in which a NPR staffer eats a Trinidad Scorpion pepper, and ends up vomiting and hallucinating.

In the clip below, a man joins the ranks of other YouTube spicy pepper aficionados and eats a whole Bhut Jolokia chili pepper, also known as the ghost pepper, and considered to be the hottest in the world. Some highlights from the clip (in addition to him leaving the computer to go puke):

"I'm shaking"... "It's like I'm in hell"... "Do not try this at home, please. This is crazy man, I'm telling you."

The guy gets progressively worse as the video continues. Brief Internet fame might not be worth the cost of this much discomfort.
