The Kid-Sized Ecto 1 Is A Fitting Tribute To The 'Ghostbusters' Legacy

One Excellent Way To Pay Tribute To The 'Ghostbusters' Legacy

Comedy legend Harold Ramis died on Monday Feb. 24. He is known for writing '80s classics such as "Meatballs," "Caddyshack," "Back to School" and "Ghostbusters." In other words, movies that today's parents hope their children one day grow to love as much as the "Hunger Games" trilogy.

Imgur user bryanwilson85 has found one way to ensure that the comedian's legacy stays strong: he turned a toy that has stood the test of time into one of Ramis's most entertaining inventions. Yes, in the grand tradition of Cozy Coupes becoming power-charged super-mobiles, we give you the kid-sized, yet lifelike, Ecto 1.

"I had a nephew born recently and wanted to give him a unique gift," he explained on the image sharing site. "I'm a big car guy and my brothers and I loved Ghostbusters growing up and this seemed super appropriate to come from me."

He found the Ghostbusters stickers on Amazon. (Here's one option.)

The rest of the project gets a little bit complicated, and a whole lot awesome.
