An intriguing merger of modern technology and historical documents, these photographs featured at My Modern Met marry today and yesteryear. Jo Teeuwisse, a historical consultant, created them by scanning negatives found at a flea market and superimposing them over images of modern day Amsterdam, which she took at the same locations seen in the mid-century negatives. The photographs are mostly of factory works during or shortly after the war and are certainly an innovative and creative way of making the past relevant to the present. Here's a selection of them and to see more, click here.
