Giancarlo Stanton Grand Slam Breaks Marlins' Scoreboard (VIDEO)

WATCH: Stanton Grand Slam Breaks Scoreboard

One would think that somewhere, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is yelling, "This is why we can't have nice things!"

After the franchise poured enormous amounts of money into a brand new baseball stadium in the heart of Miami, chock full of amenities and flashy features, Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton took it upon himself to create the first eyesore in Marlins Park. Of course, depending on your feelings about the giant sculpture in center field this could be a second eyesore.

During the Marlins' game against the Rockies on Monday, the 22-year-old slugger ripped a fourth-inning grand slam deep into left field to drive in the go-ahead runs. Not only did the blast -- his ninth homer of the season -- ensure that the home team would put up a crooked number but it literally broke the scoreboard.

Stanton is already tied for the third-most grand slams in Marlins history. Perhaps such production will keep Loria from sending him the bill for repairs.
