Vince Gilligan Wants 'Breaking Bad' Cast To Appear In 'Better Call Saul'

'I Will Be Hitting Up All These Wonderful Actors For Cameos'

At this point, it seems inevitable that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are going to appear on the "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul."

Paul recently told Details magazine that both he and Cranston are interested in appearing in the sequel series, currently described as a prequel story taking place before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) meets Walter White. At the Golden Globes Sunday night (Jan. 12), "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan said that he wants his former stars to cameo on the upcoming series.

"We are plugging away on 'Better Call Saul' and [executive producer] Peter Gould and I will be hitting up all these wonderful actors for cameos at some point," Gilligan told reporters. "We have to figure out how to work that out, story-wise." While Gilligan wasn't able to offer anything concrete, we've heard enough from all involved parties, and we're just going to go ahead and get excited about it!

Gilligan and the cast were enjoying a big win for "Breaking Bad," which took home the Golden Globe for best dramatic series. Cranston also won for Best Actor - Drama.

"Better Call Saul" is scheduled to premiere in November 2014 on AMC.
