"Not some cigar-chomping, dirty-dealing city slicker!"

It’s been nearly 16 years since the first episode of “Gilmore Girls” graced our screens, but, damn it, that show still stands up.

In a recent re-watching of all six seasons ― we can all agree that Season 7 doesn’t count ― we discovered one of the greatest interactions between Lorelai and Sookie to have ever been recorded.

During Episode 8 of Season 2, titled “The Ins and Outs of Inns,” Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) begin their journey of opening their own inn. They find the perfect spot and, after searching for the owner of the property so they can buy it, Lorelai discovers that the deed belongs to the elderly local bakery owner, Fran.

When Lorelai asks Sookie to guess who owns the inn, she delivers a line that has never been so zeitgeist-y:

The ever-so-quick-witted Lorelai responds that of course it’s not Donald Trump, and delivers a fantastic slew of adjectives about him:

Lorelai and Sookie ― you are the gifts that keep on giving.
