The New 'Girl Meets World' Theme Song 'Takes On The World'

The Wait Is Over

Mr. Feeny, it's here! Mr. Fe-Fe-Fe-Feeny!

Disney just released the new "Girl Meets World" opening credits and theme song, and they're awesome. The credits are a throwback to retro sitcom openings, featuring a montage of clips for each star as well as the paper airplane that was in the original "Boy Meets World" logo.

The theme song, "Take on the World," is performed by new stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter, according to Popstar! It sounds like an upbeat, poppy, girl-power song that'll be perfect for embarrassing '90s kids everywhere when it starts playing as their ringtone:

"Girl Meets World" is set to premiere June 27 at 9:45 p.m. ET on the Disney Channel; however, Entertainment Weekly reports that the first few episodes will also be available through Disney's WATCH Disney Channel streaming platform starting Wednesday (that's tomorrow!), May 21.

So what do you think of the opening credits and theme song? For a chance to compare and contrast, check out a super cut of the original "Boy Meets World" theme songs and openings:
