'Girls Gone Wildlife': PETA's Topless Fashion Week Protest (PHOTOS, POLL)

PHOTOS: PETA Holds Protest At Fashion Week

PETA protesters dressed up for Fashion Week on Tuesday by stripping down. The activists painted their bodies to resemble animals and held a silent protest across the street from Lincoln Center, where designer Dennis Basso was showing a spring collection that incorporated chinchilla, Russian sable, python and alligator, among other animal skins.

In a press release PETA's Executive Vice President hammered the point home, explaining: ""With all the luxurious, cruelty-free fabrics on the market today, you can get a 'to-die-for' look that no one had to die for."
