'Girls' Season 2 Preview: The Ladies Are Back (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'Girls' Season 2's First Teaser

"Girls" is headed back to HBO in January, and Lena Dunham's already working on getting her viewers excited.

Set to an upbeat tune, Hannah (Dunham), Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet), Marnie (Allison Williams) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and the rest of the "Girls" gang appear in the teaser above, and they're all smiles.

The sunny vibe of the trailer is certainly a change from Season 1, which featured a lot of unemployment and terrible sex.

The first season of the series earned five Emmy nods, three of which were for Dunham individually.

"If my voice sounds weird, it's because I was literally screaming," 26-year-old Dunham admitted to The New York Times on the day the nominations were announced. "All around my house, onto my bed, down the hallway, outside my house, on the phone with everyone I know."
