The ladies of "Girls" are many things, but financially stable isn't one of them. But according to "Girls" writer-executive producer Jenni Konner, their money troubles may be less of a problem come Season 3.
"This year, there is a ... focus on financial stability," Konner told The Wall Street Journal. "I can’t say much more. It’s an age thing. There’s only so long you can say you just graduated college."
Konner's words come as a relief to "Girls" viewers, who have watched Hannah (Lena Dunham) struggle to pay the bills as a barista and e-book writer, Marnie (Allison Williams) lose her job at an art gallery only to become a hostess, Jessa (Jemima Kirke) wander aimlessly around the globe and live off her now-ex-husband, and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) live off her (presumably wealthy) parents.
So what else can viewers expect from Season 3?
Although the show lost series regular Christopher Abbott (Charlie), it will see a slew of new guest stars including Jennifer Westfeldt, Michael Zegen, Gaby Hoffmann, Richard E. Grant, Melonie Diaz and will see the return of Andrew Rannells.
Season 3 of "Girls" will premiere in January 2014.
