Fashion FTW!
Forbes released its ranking of the world's highest-paid celebrity couples and fashion's own Gisele Bundchen and hubby Tom Brady top the list.
Beating out musical power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z, Bundchen and Brady brought home a combined $76 million between May 2010 and May 2011. While Brady, star quarterback for the New England Patriots, contributed $31 million of the total sum from his new four-year, $72 million contract, it was the supermodel who brought home the big bucks: $45 million in just 12 months.
That sum, Forbes writes, puts Bundchen on track to become the world's first billionaire model.
Fashion reappears in the number four spot, with Victoria Beckham contributing $5 million to her husband's $40 million soccer contract (and many endorsements) for a combined $45 million. Rather surprisingly, in the number five spot are "Twilight"'s Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, who each landed $20 million for a combined $40 million.
It was already clear that Gisele is the industry's highest-paid model, from her modeling gigs plus a variety of product lines in her native Brazil. But her supermodel-sized salary plus her husband's major league payout propels her to the top of Forbes' list, giving fashion a serious "win" (over vampires, no less).
