Give to Education via Donors Choose this #GivingTuesday & Google Will Match Up to $1MM

Okay, the deal is teachers in lots of schools never get a break, and that's often true in schools that serve military families and those with under-privileged kids, too. DonorsChoose.org is about teachers getting the resources they need, and doing it right.

Hey, for #GivingTuesday Donors Choose has teamed up with Google to raise money to help to make education more inclusive #ForEveryKid. The goal's to make it easier to fund as many special education projects as possible. If donors fund the first half, Google will get the rest, up to $1MM.

Okay, the deal is teachers in lots of schools never get a break, and that's often true in schools that serve military families and those with underprivileged kids, too. DonorsChoose.org is about teachers getting the resources they need, and doing it right.

DonorsChoose.org and Google.org traveled to 7 schools across the country over 2 weeks to surprise fund teachers who are using innovation in the classroom to improve learning and inclusion for kids with special needs. Not only did they surprise the teachers, they also funded an additional 740 projects that helped reach over 43K students nationally.

What's great is that when you give, you get to look through Donors Choose's list and choose which projects you want your money to go to. If you're able to help, Donors Choose is the real deal. I've been giving to them for some years now, and have gotten some really great notes from teachers who are impacted by this peer-to-peer giving platform.

Teachers are underappreciated and underpaid, please help 'em out if you're able. With your help, partnered with Google, we should be able to raise a coupla million for classrooms.
