GLAAD Plays Host To Leading LGBT Fashion And Entertainment Icons

LOOK: Fashion And Entertainment LGBT Celebrities Step Out Against Bullying

Last Thursday, September 12, GLAAD held a benefit at the Gansevoort on Park Avenue in Manhattan, playing host to some of the fashion and entertainment industries' most prominent LGBT leaders and activists.

Among those in attendance included Cazwell, J. Alexander, Perez Hilton, Laverne Cox, AzMarie Livingston, Joe Zee, and recent VMA winner Mary Lambert.

The event marked GLAAD's countdown to Spirit Day, a large-scale and high-visibility campaign that attempts to bring a voice to LGBT youth who find themselves the victims of bullying. GLAAD chose to celebrate the fashion industry leaders at this year's benefit, "as leaders and champions of LGBT equality, reminding everyone that while this is our nod to fashion, bullying is never in style."

The benefit itself included a silent auction, the proceeds of which will be used to counteract bullying, emotional speeches from GLAAD figureheads and a show-stopping performance of "She Keeps Me Warm" by none other than Mary Lambert.

Check out a slideshow of the attendees below.
