"American Idol" Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez is closing in on a deal with another Fox singing show, "Glee," according to TVLine.
Sanchez and "Glee's" deal would mean a muti-episode arc in Season 4 centering around the young singer, TVLine reports. While there are no details on who Sanchez would play, she would likely join Ryan Murphy's dramedy after finishing the "Idols Live" summer tour.
"Glee" has already revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker will guest star in Season 4, as will Kate Hudson in a reported six episode storyline.
Even with Season 4's numerous expected guest appearances, fans of "Glee" don't need to worry about whether their favorite regular characters will be returning. "We've become like a family," Ryan Murphy told Vulture. "I said to them anybody who wants to stay on the show will stay on the show. I asked all of them, 'What do you want to do? What are you interested in doing?'"
If the "Glee" deal with Jessica Sanchez goes through, it will be Sanchez' first scripted TV appearance, after appearing on "Idol" and "America's Got Talent."
"Glee" returns on a new night in the fall. Watch the Season 4 premiere Thursday, Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
