'Glee': Finn Gets A Surprising Job Offer, 'Glee Project' Winner Blake Jenner Debuts (VIDEO)

'Glee': Finn's New Job, 'Glee Project' Winner Blake Jenner

After a baseball-induced hiatus, "Glee" returned with an episode absolutely packed with new spotlights and major developments, as well as some returning favorites. And the show proved the strength of the McKinley High storylines by sticking with them throughout the entire episode. In other words, there were no side trips to check on Rachel and Kurt in New York.

With production on the school musical getting under way, Artie recruited three old favorites to help pull off their production of "Grease." Mercedes and Mike Chang came back to help, while Artie recruited Finn to be his co-director.

The auditions, meanwhile, gave the new faces on the show a chance to shine, with each of them getting a great solo or group performance. The episode also featured the debut of "The Glee Project" Season 2 winner Blake Jenner. He joined two contestants from the first season -- Alex Newell and Samuel Larsen -- which should give hope to Season 2's runner-ups Ali Stoker and Aylin Bayramoglu.

With Will leaving the school for a few months, the fate of the glee club was finally addressed at the close of the episode. TV Line didn't think it was very realistic, but Will asked Finn to run glee for the three months that he was gone. As it's not a class, he explained, they don't need someone licensed to teach.

Will Finn say yes? Probably, but find out for sure as "Glee" continues on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
