The looks at New York Fashion Week are usually not what you’d call easy to pull off. Every once in a while, though, we’re blessed with a few things that can ― and should ― be recreated in real life.
This season, we’ve teamed up with fashion illustrator Emily Brickel Edelson, co-founder of the fashion app Chic Sketch, to sketch out some of our favorite fashion and beauty looks from Fashion Week, including this glittery eye makeup from the Tadashi Shoji show on Thursday.
This look is extra dramatic for the runway, but you can tweak it by going a little lighter on the glitter or by applying fewer coats of mascara.
Swipe a bit of eyeshadow primer under your eye (we’re obsessed with Urban Decay’s primer potion, $20), then use a wet eyeliner brush to apply the glitter of your choosing (we like Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics’ cosmetic glitters, $15). Finish off with a few coats of mascara (like L’Oreal’s Voluminous mascara, $5.82) and a light swipe of white or pale pink eyeliner on your waterline (there are two great options here and here).
Voila, you’re ready for a birthday party, a trip to the supermarket or New Year’s Eve... really early.
