We live in a time where you can almost always find a gluten-free version of your favorite carby snack at the grocery store.
While these alternatives are true life-savers for some people -- such as those with wheat allergies -- only about one percent of the population actually suffers severe gastrointestinal discomfort from ingesting gluten. It sounds controversial to say, but the lot of us can handle the protein just fine, so there's no value in avoiding it for most people.
