The next summer Olympics are three years, four months and three weeks away. Not that we're counting.

Here at Global Yodel, we get a kick out of watching athletes from around the world don swimsuits, gym suits and tights to kick global butt in their respective sports.

It's not just the competition or the muscular bodies. The Olympics remind us that the joy of recreation and sports are something we all share. Everyone, everywhere loves to go outside and play. Some of us are just better at it than others.

We asked people from around the world to show us what their community defines as "play." No athletes allowed. We wanted to see real people.

Our readers sent in the following photos. There's a pickup game of soccer along the African coast, breakdancers in California and a woman swimming with dolphins in Hawaii. Families tube down rivers in the south and in Hong Kong, they kick soccer balls during their lunch breaks.
