Golden Globe Nominations Get Goofy: Woody Harrelson, Sofia Vergara Steal The Show (VIDEO)

Golden Globe Nominations Get Goofy

The egregious snubs of "Breaking Bad," "Community," and "Louie," weren't the only blunders during the Golden Globe nominations announcement on Thursday morning at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Sofia Vergara, Woody Harrelson, Gerard Butler and Rashida Jones presented the list of nominees, but the ceremony itself turned into a comedy of errors filled with gaffes and entertaining banter.

The always-affable Woody Harrelson pretty much stole the show. As Gerard Butler finished reading the nominees for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Harrelson, sitting off-camera, asked, "Did you leave one name off of there, Ger?" Butler quipped that there was one additional name on the list, but it had been "tipp-exed out." When it was Harrelson's turn to present, he took the opportunity to plug his upcoming film "Rampart."

"Best Motion Picture, Drama ... " Harrelson began, before shamelessly self-promoting his new film, causing the audience to erupt in laughter. ""Rampart" opens January 27, but I don't see it on the list here. There's a lot of things left off the list here, I just wanna say," he joked.

Later, Sofia Vergara had trouble pronouncing a few names in the Best Director in a Motion Picture category, stumbling over the name of "The Artist" director Michel Hazanavicius name and delivering "Martin Scorsese" with an emphasis that has perhaps never before been uttered. After the blunders, she made a horrified expression and rolled her eyes as she walked off the stage.

After all the nominees had been read, Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Dr. Aida Takla-O'Reilly took the podium to close out the proceedings and remind viewers the Globes would be hosted by Ricky Gervais on Jan. 15. After her remarks, in a fitting conclusion to the goofy ceremony, she was captured on an open mic asking, "Did I make a mistake?"
