New 'Gone Girl' Trailer Points To Menacing Media Circus In Gillian Flynn Adaptation

'Gone Girl' Trailer Shows Anticipated Adaptation In New Light

Four new posters, including one that was exclusive to HuffPost Entertainment, dropped "Gone Girl" clues on the Internet's doorstep over the holiday weekend. Now the trailer they were teasing has debuted online. The clip comes with haunting voice-overs, sepia-toned lighting and Fincher-esque mood music (from a score by Trent Reznor). It's also much less vague and seemingly more aligned with Gillian Flynn's wildly popular novel than the last trailer. The plot points emphasize the media circus that surrounds Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) in the wake of the alleged murder of his wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike). Also look out for Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Casey Wilson and Patrick Fugit. "Gone Girl" opens Oct. 3.
