'Grey's Anatomy' Taps James Remar For Season 10 Role

'Dexter' Star Joins 'Grey's Anatomy'

The Huffington Post confirmed TVLine's report that Remar, who has spent eight seasons on "Dexter," will appear in multiple episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10. No further details about Remar's character have been provided.

On "Dexter," Remar plays the titular character's deceased father Harry Morgan. His other TV credits include "Sex and the City," "Battlestar Galactica" and "Third Watch."

Season 10 of "Grey's Anatomy" will be Sandra Oh's swan song. The actress, who has played Cristina Yang since the show's start, will depart the long-running medical drama after its tenth season.

"It’s been a great privilege to play the character of Cristina Yang on 'GA' and I am both sad and excited to see where this, her final season will take her. It was an emotional and deeply creative decision for me and I feel fully supported by Shonda and the writers. It's so rare in an actor’s life to be able to explore and grow a character so fully, so completely. I am profoundly grateful to everyone at 'GA' for the opportunity. I’m excited to celebrate and cherish every moment of my final season on 'GA' with the fans who have made it all possible," Oh said in a statement.

"Grey’s Anatomy" Season 10 premieres Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
