Rupert Grint Joins Voice Cast Of 'Postman Pat' Movie, Grint Stars In British Children's TV Series Adaptation

Rupert Grint Becoming A 'Postman'?

It started with an ice cream truck. But now "Harry Potter" star, Rupert Grint, seems dead set on making all his boyhood dreams come true.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lovable ginger will be participating in a big-screen adaptation of the British children's television show, which Grint watched as a boy, "Postman Pat."

Alongside Jim Broadbent, David Tennant (who both had stints on "Harry Potter") and Stephen Mangan, Grint will be lending his distinctive voice to "Postman Pat: The Movie -- You Know You're the One."

Here, Postman Pat (who looks a bit like a Weasley himself) faces more adult problems when he enters a television competition and the temptation of money, status and fancy clothing are weighed against his cherished home and friends.

“Postman Pat is one of those British symbols, I suppose -- you are totally familiar with him and his cat, Jess even if you have never watched the series. How exciting to be part of the Postman Pat heritage,” said Grint.

The film is set for 3D theatrical release for spring 2013, going into production this month.
