President Obama has made it through innumerable trials as the leader of the free world these past eight years, but his greatest test of strength came during his last state dinner on Tuesday night. There’s no doubt about it.

His final task as president? Make it through a Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton duet without doing an impromptu ...

The “Make Me Like You” singer was tapped as the headliner for the evening, which was held in honor of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini.

Stefani was likely chosen to perform either because of her Italian descent, or because Obama has chosen “Sweet Escape” as his official White House exit anthem.

But these days, Gwen is a package deal with the worst Twitter user in the game, Blake Shelton, so naturally she brought him up on stage to sing their duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

Like this country doesn’t have ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH, Gwen?!
