Gwyneth's Advice For Joaquin: "Live In The Projects... Get Some Authenticity"

Gwyneth Paltrow had some advice for "Two Lovers" costar Joaquin Phoenix as he transitions into hip-hop artist:

"I think that there might be some other explanation or something going on. I'm not quite sure what, but I can't believe that he's really going to quit [acting] forever to become a rapper," she told MTV UK during a promotional junket for Two Lovers. "It seems odd."

When asked what advice she has for her costar, who also appears in Two Lovers, she replied, "Hmm ... maybe to go live in the projects for a few years to get some authenticity, maybe."

Paltrow's comments come on the heels of Joaquin's latest rap performance in Miami. He was heckled by a fan and leaped into the audience to fight, all while being filmed by brother-in-law Casey Affleck. TMZ reported it was likely a hoax.

The hoax question is not new and cropped up widely after Joaquin's shambolic Letterman appearance.
