Let's say you forgot to attach a resume to your email application before clicking send, or you included a sentence or two in a personal message and now you're having second thoughts. To undo a sent email, first visit 'Gmail Settings' and click on the 'Labs' tab. Scroll down to 'Undo Send' and select 'Enable.' You now have a few seconds to make the necessary changes before your message is sent again.
Next, we'll go over how to mute conversations for email threads that don't concern or interest you. Simply select the email thread you'd like to mute, and then visit the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner (above the first message). Click mute, and the conversation will disappear from your inbox. If you change your mind, you can easily undo this action by visiting the 'All Mail' tab located to the left of the inbox (below your email folders).
Finally, we'll discuss securing your Gmail with 2-step verification. First, click your username in the top right-hand corner, and then select 'Account.' Click the 'Security' tab on the left side of your screen, and then select 'Settings' under the '2-Step Verification' heading in the middle of the page. At this time, you will be asked to sign into your account again; after you've logged in, a new window will pop up. Simply follow the instructions until you receive an email indicating you've successfully set up the 2-step verification.
