'Sesame Street' Pornography: Hackers Target TV Show's YouTube Page

Hackers Post Pornos On 'Sesame Street' YouTube Page

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Pornography Street?

Hackers took control of the "Sesame Street" YouTube page yesterday, turning the kid-friendly destination into a porno site, CNN reports.

Graphic content replaced footage of the friendly puppets for 20 minutes before being taken down, according to Gawker.

The cyber attack probably has officials at the children's program wondering just who are the people in their neighborhood.

One source deep within the show's parent company, Sesame Workshop, joked that this is yet another sex controversy for the program, like the petition by viewers asking for Bert and Ernie to have a gay marriage in April.

"Between this and the Bert & Ernie coming-out petitions, it seems everyone wants 'The Street' to teach sex ed," the contact told The Huffington Post.

Last fall, "Sesame Street" got into trouble for a racy video of pop star Katy Perry wearing a low-cut top during a singalong with Elmo. Ultimately, the clip was yanked from the show.

Responding to the hacking scandal, Sesame Workshop officials issued an apology on Sunday in case any impressionable viewers caught a glimpse of skin.

"Our channel was compromised and we are presently working with YouTube/Google to restore our original content. We always strive to provide age-appropriate content for our viewers and hope to resolve this problem quickly."

As of Monday morning, the YouTube page remained unavailable.
